In the Amhara region of Ethiopia, innocent civilians—including men, women, the elderly, and children—have tragically found themselves caught in the crossfire of a devastating war. Over the past two years, the ongoing conflict has led to a catastrophic toll on the civilian population, with countless individuals suffering serious injuries from drone strikes targeting essential locations such as places of worship, healthcare facilities, schools, and residential neighborhoods. These attacks have not only resulted in immediate physical harm but have also devastated the fabric of communities, leaving families shattered and neighborhoods in ruins.
In one of the drone strikes, "Witnesses have described the victims of the drone strike as including children who were playing, individuals engaged in farming, and mothers who were receiving medical care. Additionally, workers in the vicinity of a church and local residents have also been identified as casualties of this tragic event. The accounts suggest a broad impact on the community, highlighting the attack's indiscriminate nature". [News Source- BBC Amharic].
Healthcare facilities have been destroyed, closed, or left in disrepair. Medical supplies are critically scarce, clinics are overwhelmed, and many lives now hang in the balance—not because help is impossible, but because it is totally unavailable.
In light of this humanitarian crisis, we kindly ask for your support for our project to provide relief and aid to those affected. Your donation can make the difference between life and death. It will help provide emergency medical care, life-saving medicines, medical training, and vital support to clinics struggling to treat victims.
Lives are at risk. Every contribution—no matter how small—can save a life. Please give now. If you are unable to donate, share this appeal so others can act immediately.
