To give hope to Amhara children who have lost their parents due to the war.

What began as a desperate effort to save one young girl from Metekel, who lost both parents, has now grown into sponsoring over 500 children. Additionally, the program has expanded to bring hope to many children who lost one or both parents because of the ethnic cleansing in Metekel, Wollega, Ataye, and the war-torn areas of Ethiopia.

Your participation in this program is a charitable contribution and an effective way to fight poverty.  Additionally, it provides children with opportunities to have a better future. 

Internally Displaced Children Food Assistance Program - Meals for IDP Kids Campaign

Over 3 million people were internally displaced in Ethiopia by the end of last year, according to the latest National Displacement Report by the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM). Over 30,000 ethnic Amharas were displaced from the Wollega zones of the Oromia regional state to Debre Berhan City, located in the Amhara regional state. These individuals are currently facing severe and ongoing shortages of essentials, including food and shelter.

The program aims to support:

• Children with disabilities

• Children who have experienced trauma and need counseling

• Children who have lost one or both parents

We provide meals for 650-700 IDP children in two camps. Your contributions have been vital in making a real difference in their lives.
