Wonfel is a California-based nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status, founded in 2018 to address the increasing socio-economic challenges faced by millions of Ethiopians.
What began as a desperate effort to save a young girl from Metekel, who had lost both parents, has now grown into a program that supports over 500 children through the contributions of 150 sponsor families and more than 200 donors. Additionally, the program has expanded to bring hope to many children who have lost one or both parents due to ethnic cleansing in Metekel, Wollega, Ataye, and other war-affected regions of Ethiopia.
